Class Duration & Term Structure

Adult classes run for 8 weeks, while junior classes span 6 weeks.

Each term lasts 9 weeks, with classes beginning in a staggered format over the first two weeks.

Pottery classes
Immerse yourself in the world of pottery with our engaging classes for both adults and children. We offer a variety of wheel, hand-building, and sculpture classes, along with a special school holiday programme for kids.
No club membership is required to join—everyone is welcome! All classes are held in our welcoming and well-equipped pottery club rooms, where creativity thrives. Each wheel class accommodates 10 participants (or 8 junior potters), while our hand-building and sculpture classes can host 12 students.

Class fees
Adult classes - 8 weekly sessions
The fees are the same for all adult classes except Advanced Wheel:

Non-members - $299

Non-members with Community Service Card (CSC) or SuperGold Card (NZS) - $259

Otaki Pottery Club members - $205
Advanced Wheel fees (3-hour class B26):

Non-members - $389

Non-members with CSC or NZS card - $349

Otaki Pottery Club members - $310
Member fee does not include clay and firing

Hardship grants
If you would like to be considered for a hardship grant, please email classesotakipottery@gmail.com.
