Term 4 Enrolments

Pottery Workshop

Term 4 will commence during the week starting on the 6th of October, with some classes beginning a week later.

Enrolment schedule
Term 3 students (current student early enrolment):
  • 9th August - 3rd September - Term 3 students enrolling into the same class

  • 4th September - 6th September - Term 3 students switching classes

New students:
  • Enrolments open at 12pm on Sunday the 7th of September

  • Enrolments close on the 28th of September

Join Monica's Classes - Enrol Early

After two terms away on a residency with a Belgian ceramic artist, Monica McCormack is back for Term 4 wheel classes. She’s been honing ultra‑thin porcelain work and delicate water‑etching, and returns ready to share fresh ideas and her characteristic thoughtful guidance.

Class fees

Adult classes - 8 weekly sessions

The fees are the same for all adult classes except Advanced Wheel:

  • Non-members - $290

  • Non-members with Community Service Card (CSC) or SuperGold Card (NZS) - $250​​

  • Otaki Pottery Club members - $200

Advanced Wheel fees (class B26: 3.5-hours, 6 weeks):

  • Non-members - $300

  • Non-members with CSC or NZS card - $270​​

  • Otaki Pottery Club members - $230

Non Members' fees include clay and firing costs for work produced from that clay in class. Additional clay may be purchased from the club but only work made in class may be fired without additional charge. 
Members' fees do not include clay and firing.​

Junior classes - 6 weekly sessions

  • Wheel - $120

  • Hand building - $110

including clay and firing.

Hardship grants

To apply for a hardship grant, please email classesotakipottery@gmail.com or click the button below. Your application will be sent to the OPC Member's Representative for review.

CSC and NZS cards

If you are opting for the reduced fee option, please email a photo of your Community Service Card (CSC) or SuperGold Card (NZS), along with your name and class details, to classesotakipottery@gmail.com or click the button below.
