Class Description

PREREQUISITE: You must be able to centre and lift a cylinder of approx. 1kg. Making Pouring Vessels From Jugs to oil spouted bottles to teapots & watering / oil cans This term we will start at the beginning with throwing cylinders, making jugs & pitches, throwing taller by using composite throwing skills and pulling spouts. Followed by trimming and handling options. Glazing options for taller forms. Move onto throwing spouts to fit small oil bottles tops to soy bottles with spouts to teapot forms to larger spouts for watering can forms. Followed by trimming, pulled handles to throwing side handles and lug attachments. Including a glazing lessons midway & toward the end of term, including latexing of galleries and lids & wadding or biscuits for lids.

Full Refund: Granted if OPC cancels a course. Withdrawals: 80% refund for cancellations made more than 7 days before the class start date. (20% is retained to cover administrative costs.), no refund for cancellations made within 7 days of the class start date or after the class has begun.
