Large bowls and platters workshop
Three Day Intensive Wheel Workshop with Harriet Bright | 6-8 July 2026 9.30am-5pm
Class Description
This is an intermediate course for students who are already able to confidently centre and throw a cylinder. We will focus on wide and flat shapes in this workshop. What we will cover: - Spiral wedging - Centering and throwing up to 3kg clay. - Lifting walls evenly - Shaping bowls and wide forms - Rims and finishing What you need to bring: Participants provide their own clay and tools, apron & towel and make their own glazing and firing arrangements. Please bring plenty of large bats for this workshop. Bring your lunch and snacks, tea and coffee provided Harriet has over 10 years experience as a professional potter with a focus on domestic ware. She teaches wheel throwing at Otaki Pottery Club and to private students.

Full Refund: Granted if OPC cancels a workshop. Withdrawals: 80% refund for cancellations made more than 7 days before the workshop date. (20% is retained to cover administrative costs.), no refund for cancellations made within 7 days of the workshop.
