Class Description
Join renowned ceramic artist and Festival of Pots guest artis Fiona Tunnicliffe for an inspiring two-day hands-on workshop exploring her distinctive approach to form, surface, and storytelling in clay. Known for her expressive sculptural animals and intuitive making style, Fiona will guide participants through her creative process - from initial ideas and construction methods to finishing and surface techniques. The workshop will help you discover your own sculptural voice and learn the art of bringing clay to life. This hands-on session covers everything from the physics of strong construction to the nuances of anatomy and texture. You’ll leave with a better understanding of how to plan and execute your builds for the best possible results. All skill levels are welcome - whether you’re a beginner keen to learn new techniques or an experienced maker looking for fresh inspiration. Clay is included. Things to bring: Rolling pin and textures to make impressions in the clay.
